    Nominated for "Best New Director" at the Asian Pacific Screen Awards 2021, Kahunahana has been touted as a "director to watch" and an "oceanic auteur" whose work draws comparisons to Kubrick, Resnais, and Malik.

    His portfolio includes the Smithsonian documentary "A Day in the Life," short film LĀHAINĀ NOON.

    An advocate for representation, Kahunahana has served on panels for American Film Market, the Geena Davis Institute, and GOLD HOUSE FUTURES. Recent projects include producing award-winning "KUKINI" and directing MTV's Young Voter Campaign. He's currently developing the sci-fi film AIMAN, a triptych titled MOHALU.

  • Fairai Richmond is an award-winning Hawaiian/Tahitian filmmaker. He has directed and produced two feature films; “Decade of the Dead”, which premiered at the Hawai'i International Film Festival 2023, and is playing on Apple TV Plus and “Kangaroo Kids”, which premiered on Christmas Day 2023 on the new streaming platform Sunn Stream. He also co-wrote that film. It is the streamer’s first feature film. He has directed over 100 commercials, music videos, short films and documentaries. He has created campaigns for Hoʻōla Nā Pua, U.S. Vets Hawaii, The Hawaii Association of the Blind and L&L BBQ.  He currently lives in Honolulu, HI with his wife and two children.
